Safety Warnings

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION PLEASE READ PRIOR TO USING ANY PRODUCTS PURCHASED ON WWW.AIMDEPOT.COM

All warnings should be read prior to using any products purchased on www.aimdepot.com.  Use of a firearm under any condition may be dangerous.  Personal injury or death may occur from handling any firearm.  Training from an accredited firearms safety instructor should be completed prior to handling any firearm.  It is the user’s responsibility to exercise extreme caution when handling any firearm.  For more information on how to safely handle your firearm, please reference the firearm manufacture’s safety and instruction manual.

All firearms should be kept out of the reach of children.

Never place a loaded firearm in a holster without first test fitting to ensure a proper fit.  All test fitting should be performed with an unloaded firearm.  It is the user’s responsibility to personally check for holster and firearm compatibility.  Always check that your firearm’s chamber is empty prior to test fitting.  All products offered on www.aimdepot.com are designed to safely function with unmodified firearms.  Any modifications to a firearm may cause accidental discharge which can lead to injury or death.  It is the responsibility of the user to regularly inspect any holster for proper fit and function.  Should any product purchased on www.aimdepot.com become broken, worn, loose, or in any way defective, cease use immediately.

CARRY “CONDITION” OF FIREARM:  Carrying any firearm with a live cartridge in the chamber immediately in front of the firing pin may cause an accidental discharge.  All firearms should be carried with the hammer or firing pin resting on an empty chamber. Holsters sold on www.aimdepot.com with retention straps intended for single-action pistols (such as the 1911) are designed for "hammer down, empty chamber" carry.  Do not attempt to cock a firearm while it is holstered.  Cocking a firearm while holstered can result in injury or death.

Always keep your finger off the trigger and away from the trigger guard when holstering your firearm.  Always keep your finger off the trigger and away from the trigger guard when removing your firearm form the holster.

Retention straps, screws, and compression washers must be used on all products purchased on www.aimdepot.com as provided.  Alterations made to any retention device may result in injury or death.  During physical activities the user should not rely solely on a retention device to prevent a firearm from becoming unholstered.  It is the user’s responsibility to make sure a firearm is not accidentally unholstered during physical activities.  Tension screws and compression washers are not set at the factory.  The users will be required to set the appropriate amount of tension and maintain appropriate tension during use.  A non-permanent thread locker is recommended for all screws and threaded hardware.
